How to remove your personal information from data broker sites
- Find out who actually lists you
Search your own name with your city and note every site that returns a record; that list is your work queue. - Use the opt-out page, not the support email
Most brokers have a specific removal URL; support inboxes route nowhere. - Give the minimum identifying data
An opt-out form that asks for a scan of your ID is asking for more than it needs; check whether a record URL is enough. - Record the date and the confirmation
Removals get reversed, and a dated confirmation is what makes the second request fast. - Re-check in ninety days
Re-listing after a data refresh is routine, not an exception.
